The Social Studies, Grade 10 curriculum enhances the knowledge of the competencies in Social Studies 9 and Humanities 8. Students refine inquiry skills with deeper interpretation, analysis, and communication of ideas and conclusions. This course includes the development and functions of political institutions, political and economic ideologies, identity and autonomy, historical conflicts and discriminatory policies within the Canadian context, and Canada's economic growth and role in the global economy. This course also places profound emphasis on First People's Governance and Truth and Reconciliation.
