In this course, the issues that shaped the history of Western civilization, from the 17th to the 19th centuries, are analyzed, focusing on Pre-Confederation Canada. Some of the issues that are covered in this course include the political, social, economic, and technological revolutions, in addition to the impact of colonialism. Others include the impact of colonialism on the population, population shift, nationalism, conflict, geographic issues such as the Canadian regions.
