SS: EXPLORATIONS IN SOCIAL STUDIES 11  ​

This is a survey course, and the design reflects flexibility for the teacher and the students while covering the provincial learning standards. The survey course will entice the students with the local focus. The subject areas may include the social, cultural, and technological changes of the 20th century, colonialism and the modern-day issues of the Aboriginal peoples of Canada and the world, the use of natural resources on the local, and global levels, the individual rights of the citizen of Canada, culture and world religions, and the modern media.
